I’ve considered myself a photography enthusiast for many years and have enjoyed capturing images of beautiful landscapes across the US but especially in California. Every Fall, while many parts of the country provide displays of changing colors for all to enjoy, people in Southern California don’t usually think they have a similar opportunity within relatively easy access. However, a 4- hour drive to the Bishop area provides plenty of opportunity to experience the Fall Colors. On such day in 2017 during the peak of the season, we drove to Bishop and from there to South Lake, one of several lakes that typically provides beautiful displays of color, as well as plenty of opportunity to hike and enjoy the majestic Sierra Nevadas.
