. . .a thin triangular flap of a heart valve. . . a small book usually having a paper cover . . . a medical lit-art e-journal from The Permanente Press
Painting enhances and balances my medical life. I choose to work in watercolor because it has its own spontaneous process. One can plan and direct the image, but the paper, paint, and water ultimately influence the image in unexpected ways. Like nurturing babies to breathe or seedlings to unfold, watercolor painting honors the mystical in life as it captures color, light, and life.
