. . .a thin triangular flap of a heart valve. . . a small book usually having a paper cover . . . a medical lit-art e-journal from The Permanente Press
This abstract watercolor was inspired by a patient I treated who had been ill and immobilized in bed for some months in hospital. On recovery, she managed one day for the first time to get to the window and open the blinds she had previously kept closed. The profusion of light and color of a bright Spring day that flooded the room took her by surprise as she cried: "Wow - hello Spring! Where have I been!?" Paying attention to precious moments like this make an artist's life.
